FORMER policeman Shawn Edinboro, called ‘Christopher’, appeared yesterday before Justice Rishi Persaud at the Demerara Assizes and pleaded not guilty to the sex charge involving a child of tender years.

The offence is said to have been committed on the 22nd day of April, 2012 at Drysdale Street, Charlestown.
A jury was empanelled to try the former policeman of the offence.
Prosecutrix Mss Mercedes Thompson is expected to deliver her opening address to the jury this morning and call witnesses in support of her case.
