UCHE JUMBO MARKS WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

On May 16, 2012, Nollywood Actress Uche Jumbo got married to her beau Kenney Rodriguez at a private beach wedding on the Island of Puerto Rico. Her wedding took many by surprise as she made it a secret.Last Friday the couple marked their wedding anniversary; Uche Jumbo is also reported to be pregnant with her first child. She took to her social media page to announce how happy she is about her anniversary; she also Ritaprayed that they may always have reason to laugh. She posted memorable pictures of her wedding day.

RITA MARLEY’S DAUGHTER MARRIES A GHANAIAN
Sharon Marley Prendergast, daughter of Reggae legend Bob Marley and EkowAlabi Savage, officially tied the love knot at a private family location in Accra, Ghana on Tuesday, May 13, 2014.Sharon and Ekow first met in 1991 and 23 years later the love connection has finally brought them together as husband and wife.

INI EDO OFFERED SCHOLARSHIP TO STUDY LAW
Actress Ini Edo-Ehiagwina says she has been offered a scholarship to study Law at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).Edo revealed the news on May 15, 2014, through her Instagram page, showing off her admission letter.
“So I have been offered a scholarship to study law in the National Open University of Nigeria. I just got my admission letter and I am super excited. It’s a dream come true… SarkodieAwesome God,’ she excitedly wrote.The Nollywood star will have to start working extra hours on set as she now will be juggling acting with attending (online) classes.The National Open University of Nigeria was established in July 1983 as springboard for open and distance learning in Nigeria. It was suspended by the government in April 1984 but was reinstated in 2001.

SARKODIE NOMINATED FOR 2014 BET AWARDS
Ghana’s fastest rapper Sarkodie has once again been nominated for the 2014 edition of the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.The rapper has been nominated in the Best International Act (Africa) category and will face stiff competition from Nigerian’s Davido and Tiwa Savage, Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz, South African group Mafikizolo and Toofan from Togo.
Sarkordie jointly won that award with Nigerian artiste Wizkid at the 2012 edition of the awards which came off at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.That year, the two artistes beat off competition from Ice Prince (Nigeria), Camp Mulla (Kenya), Mokobe (Mali) and Lira (South Africa). Ice Prince later won the Best International Act (Africa) in the 2013 edition of the awards.
Shortly after the nominees for the awards were revealed, Sarkodie tweeted that: “And we made it again 2014 BET Awards!!!!! #Thanks2God almighty. I love u @TeamSarkodie”.
The 2014 BET Awards will air live from the Nokia Theater at Los Angeles, USA on Sunday, June 29.
