OF COURSE GINA will see Granger’s comments as a grave threat, because Granger said: “…if they don’t hear, they will feel…”GINA said it interprets this comment by Mr. Granger as a threat to its existence and well-being of its staff. Moreover, the agency believes that such a comment may not be devoid of security implications for its employees, and is in the process of registering its concerns with the related authority.
GINA is registering concerns about a threat to related authority. Who is the related authority? If it is the Guyana Police Force, then GINA should think again, because the police are supportive of the PNC and Granger is ruler of the PNC. Remember how police bodily ejected GINA, Chronicle and NCN media workers from polling booths last elections, and said openly that only Stabroek News, Kaieteur News, Prime News and Capital News’ reporters would be allowed in?
The Guyana Press Association is pro-PNC. The Caribbean Press Association is “kith n kin” of the PNC. Whichever way it is looked at, you got to get in line with the big ones to go against the PNC, and the big ones are USA/UK/ Canada/UN.
But PNC beat PPP to the punch and hooked up with those countries mentioned above, and this is why PNC can do no wrong in Guyana, even if it goes on a killing spree.
PNC is alleged to have killed Rodney and many other freedom fighters, and no one was held accountable.
GINA can huff and puff all it wants, but Granger can take you all out at any given time, if he so chooses, with no repercussions, because he and all Opposition to Government are supported by the big ones, so state media entities will never get any redress.
