Accused money thief remanded

EIGHTEEN-YEAR-OLD Ehazah Mohamed, who is charged with simple larceny, was remanded to prison on January 3, by Magistrate Zamilla Alli at Cove and John Court.Police Inspector John Singh, prosecuting, successfully objected to bail for Mohamed, on the ground that the latter previously faced several similar charges that are pending.
The Prosecutor said investigations revealed that, on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at Non Pariel, also on the East Coast Demerara, Mohamed stole $62,000, belonging to Seeram Deonarine.
Mohamed will remain incarcerated until February 7.
