POLICE have encountered a snag in their investigations following the execution-style killing of Jamaican businessman Patrick Forbes, in Orange Walk, Bourda, Georgetown, on November 13.

But Crime Chief Seelall Persaud assured that, although no arrests have been made, the probe is still active.
Forbes, who was riddled with bullets at about 00:10 hrs while at a popular ‘hang out’ spot, had been involved in a game of dominoes but was shot, when he got up, by a lone gunman who escaped.
The deceased, who had operated a boutique in another city ward, succumbed to gunshot injuries a few days later at a private hospital.
The 36-year-old man, of Lot 186 Lance Gibbs Street, Queenstown, in Georgetown, too, was in company with several other persons when a volley of gunfire shattered the early morning quiet.
He was hit in his abdomen and right thigh but, since the shooting, relatives were not inclined to speak about it to this newspaper.

However, Deputy Commissioner (Law Enforcement) Persaud related that a group of men were in a shop playing dominoes when Forbes suffered multiple gunshots.
Other persons heard the shooting but did not see the shooter.
Not linked
Meanwhile, although the murder of Forbes and ex-Guyana Defence Force (GDF) officer Denzil Mingo, were not linked the Police said, yesterday, there are no new developments in either execution-style killings.
Mingo, 21, of Third Street, in Alberttown, Georgetown, too, was killed when two men with what appeared to be high-powered rifles surrounded the vehicle into which he and two friends entered as they emerged from the Edge Nightclub on Main Street early Saturday morning.
Police confirmed that it happened about 04:30 hrs and that two men, armed with guns, opened fire on Mingo; Joseph Barker, of Fifth Street, Alberttown and Earlson Murray, 23, of Norton Street, Wortmanville, while they were in the car on Main Street.
Mingo was struck multiple times and pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) while Barker, who was injured, as well, has been admitted to another hospital.
Their vehicle, which was damaged by the gunfire, has been detained by the Police.
