A mixed jury before Justice Diana Insanally, yesterday, found Chanderban Indar not guilty of the murder of Ragendra Singh of Mon Repos, East Coast, Demerara. The jury had heard a story that Ragendra Singh, who participated in a rum spree with the accused on May 31, 2010, slept at the home of the accused the night and was found dead the next morning. The accused was charged with murder. The doctor who performed the autopsy said death was due to manual strangulation. The accused was defended by Mr. George Thomas.

In the other murder trial before Justice James Bovell-Drakes, the jury found Khemraj Bhoodoo not guilty of the murder of Litendra Roopnaraine called ‘Boyo’.
Attorney-at-at-law Keavon Bess represented the successful accused.
