TWENTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD labourer, Kevin Singh, of Lot 156 Section ‘C’ Grove, East Bank of Demerara, was ordered to post $40,000 bail, yesterday, on a charge for stealing a purse with cash.Before Magistrate Judy Latchman, the defendant denied the allegation that said, on Friday, October 25, at Prashad Nagar, Georgetown, he stole, from Marcia Williams, the purse containing $900, making a total loss, to her, of $1,900.
Attorney-at-law Mr. Paul Fung-a-Fat, who represented Singh, made the application for his pre-trial liberty and Police Sergeant Vishnu Hunt, prosecuting, did not object.
The case will be called, again, on November 8.
