Slingerz Football Club visited Den Amstel Football Club yesterday afternoon, where they engaged the home team in a West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) organised Stag Beer sponsored Senior League competition and were held to a 1-1 draw.

Vurlon Mills opened the scoring for the visiting Vergenoegen side with a 40th minute strike, but the home team earned a share of the points, when Delon Lanferman found the back of the net in the 47th minute.
In the opening fixture of the day’s double header, Stewartville Football Club needled Seawall Football Club 1-0, compliments of a Keron Caines first half conversion in the 33rd minute, while on Saturday at the same venue, Uitvlugt Warriors came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Beavers.
Lewis Primo and captain Jamal Harvey netted for Utivlugt in the 60th and 74th minute respectively, before Denzil Boxer and Kip Austin found the back of the net in the 25th and 29th minute correspondingly for Beavers.
