Full Gospel Church holds annual youth conference under theme ‘Stop de Bouncin’

UNDER the theme “Stop de Bouncin”, the South Road Full Gospel Church yesterday held its 13th Annual Youth Conference at the National Cultural Centre on Durban Backlands, Georgetown, and more than 200 youths from all the churches around the country attended.

altSpeaking with the Guyana Chronicle, Mark McGowan, head of the Youth Department which planned and hosted the conference, noted that the theme and conference this year is to help young people have stability in their lives. He said a lot of young people in society do not know what is their calling in life, and he highlighted that “everyone is called for a purpose”.
McGowan added that many young people are jumping from relationship to relationship, and from job to job, before finally turning to drugs and alcohol. Yesterday’s conference taught attendees to find their life’s purpose and calling, and also to maximise their potential. Attendees also had dynamic worship, drama, mimes and dances.

Conference speaker was Christine Grant.alt
For the past 13 years, this Youth Conference has been taking place under different themes. Each year, the conference committee spends time praying and coming up with a theme and activities that fall under the theme, so that the lives of young people can be impacted in tremendous ways.
