THE Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) has a new Board of Directors.
They were chosen after many consultations and talks with the Minister of Health, Dr. Bheri Ramsaran.
Last Friday evening, the minister hosted a reception to honour both the new members and the previous ones.
In brief remarks at the function, Dr Ramsaran alluded to the presence of the new appointees and said they are capable of handling any problem that will come their way.
He thanked those who previously served the GPHC well.
The GPHC Board now comprises Brigadier Mark Phillips (Chairman), Ms. Renata Chuck-A-Sang, Dr. Shamdeo Persaud, Mr. Nirmal Rekha, Ms. Zaheeda Hack, Dr. Mahendra Carpen, Dr. Dalgleish Joseph, Mr. Kempton Alexander, Ms. Norma Semple, Mr. Michael Khan (Chief Executive Officer) and Mr. Sheik Amir.
