CONTRARY to reports recently peddled in some sections of the local media, the annual audited reports of the Guyana Energy Agency (GEA) have been completed and are available, according to Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr. Roger Luncheon.
He dismissed claims by accountant

Christopher Ram that the agency’s financial accounting reports were unfinished and unavailable noting that, “One swallow does not make a summer, particularly that swallow of which you speak”.
According to the Cabinet Secretary, while some of the reports may not have been presented to the National Assembly or to Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh, he is confident that they have been completed and are available.
Sections of the media recently stated that doubts have been expressed in some quarters about the state of GEA’s financial health, citing the failure of the agency to produce same to the National Assembly.
