SHAMEER Moore, 17, of 108 Parfaite Harmonie, WBD, appeared before Georgetown Magistrate Judy Latchman, accused indictably of snatching from Yoseenie Singh, a handbag containing one Samsung Galaxy SIII cell phone, $10,000 cash, and miscellaneous documents to a total value of $135,000.

Prosecutor Sergeant Vishnu Hunt successfully objected to bail on the grounds of the penalty attached and the quantum involved. He contended that the victim positively identified the accused, and when arrested, the accused revealed where the remaining articles of the offence were.
Moore was remanded to prison, and is to return to court on September 6.
