39-year-old Martin Kleen of Lot 427 Stevedore Housing Scheme, Georgetown was yesterday remanded to prison on a threatening language charge.
He pleaded not guilty to the offence, allegedly committed on Tuesday, August 20, at Stevedore Housing Scheme, Georgetown, where he is alleged to have threatened Alicia Moses.
The VC asked that the defendant not be granted bail because she has a restraining order against him from a previous matter, but the defendant said the VC was lying, because he would not threaten the mother of his children.
Magistrate Azore told the parties to stop the cross talking, and Police Sergeant Ramsahoye Rambajue, prosecuting, did not object to bail.
Bail was, nevertheless, refused the defendant, and the matter was adjourned until September 19.
