GUYANA’s biggest summer event, Jamzone Summer Break 2013, has been set for August 16 to 25.
This most anticipated crowd-gathering event has always been the pageant that closes the festival, wherein the queen is crowned at Splashmins Fun Park, located in the Madewini wetlands on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway, a five-minute drive from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport.
Three years ago, the pageant — formerly for Guyanese girls only — evolved to include girls from throughout the Caribbean region, who now vie for the title of Miss Jamzone International and a cash prize of US$10,000 and other prizes.
