Seriously, it cannot become more laughable than this. With such a record as that of the current administration: of a city filled with garbage; of a city that stinks to high heavens; of reserves that are jungle in every respect; of drains that are choked with silt, weed, and other debris; and of canals that are stagnant. If this is not a clearly defined case of dysfunction, then what is?
What more must the Mayor do to prove his ineptitude, except by becoming more incompetent, and the city becoming even more filled with garbage. One only has to observe another pile of garbage in the southern ground of City Hall and a section of its fencing that is broken down, on that same section, to comprehend that if this Council cannot maintain its immediate environment, then how can it be expected to take care of its town?
Of course, the recent passage of the Local Government Bills is of course, welcome news, as it brings the city closer to being rid of this albatross of a municipality. One hopes that by the time of elections that we are all not buried under by the increasing garbage piles, or be swept away by an epidemic.
