18-year-old on $70,000 bail for abusive language and assault –arrest warrant issued for VC

KEVIN Barker (no address given), an 18-year-old employee of 2Js (Johnson & Johnson) Hardware Store, was ordered to post $70,000 surety when he appeared before Georgetown Magistrate Judy Latchman to answer charges of abusive language and assault, allegedly committed  on Randy Young on Monday, July 29, at Lot 42 Garnett Street, Newtown, Kitty.

In addition, it was alleged that on the same day, at Garnett Street, Newtown, Kitty, he unlawfully assaulted the same virtual complainant (VC) so as to cause him actual bodily harm.
He pleaded not guilty to the offences, and Attorney-at-law Mr. George Thomas made a humble request for bail to be granted, since his client had been placed on $10,000 station bail.
Thomas said the VC does not reside at the Lot 42 Garnett Street, Newtown address, where he was alleging that he had been assaulted.
Police Sergeant Vishnu Hunt had no objection to bail. He described the bodily harm done to Young as an abrasion to the left side of his neck, but there was no indication of the instrument used.

Since he was not present for the court proceedings, an arrest warrant was issued for the VC, who had also been charged.
