THE Editor-in-Chief of the Staboek News, Mr. Anand Persaud, who was invited to attend court on Thursday to explain why an unsuitable front page headline in the Stabroek News relating to the Lusignan Massacre case was published, turned up, not in court, but in the judge’s chambers.
Persaud was seen on Thursday morning entering the judge’s chambers with the defence and prosecution lawyers.
Spectators thought that since the complaint by Attorney Mr Nigel Hughes about the offending headline had been made in court, the explanation would also have been made in court.
