A security guard, 37- year-old Heron Dennis, was shot dead when four gunmen invaded a grocery in Guyhoc Park last evening just after 20:00hrs.

According to reports reaching the Guyana Chronicle, the men entered Fuzzy’s grocery with their guns in hand, and upon seeing them, the proprietor whipped out his firearm and confronted the bandits.
There was an exchange of gunfire and Heron, who was in the shop at the time, was fatally shot.
The incident occurred at Arapaima Street, Guyhoc Park. This is not the first time that the this particular grocery shop was robbed and in each case the robbers were armed
