The voting campaign certainly paid off for the talented Ryan Hoppie, since he was the winner amongst the top five in the English segment, thus earning for himself bragging rights, a spanking new car and $1M in cash.
In the Bollywood camp, it was the pretty and versatile Bibi Halima Khan who was bestowed with the same honour, taking home a similarly lucrative prize that was awarded to Hoppie.
Following in second place for the English side was the orphan boy of Berbice, Michael Small; with Linden’s Diana Chapman in third place, while Dorian Obermuller and Natasha Yhap took the fourth and fifth spots respectively.
The bottom five in this category included Lerone Souvenir, T’Shana Cort, Edward Perez, Lemuel Chestor, and Darren Benjamin.
There were nine finalists in the Bollywood segment. After the winner, Ms. Khan, Andy Rambarack was adjudged second best singer, with Reshma Persaud placing third. In fourth position was Bunty Singh, while Decahendra rounded off the top five finalists.
The bottom five, of course, included Haresh Singh, Yeatindra Singh, Erick Sukhra and Denishwar Bisseswar.
The bottom five finalists in either segment were each awarded a Blackberry Z10 mobile phone, and will soon each receive $50,000 for their efforts.
The second place winners in both segments each received $750,000; while the third, fourth and fifth place winners received $500,000, $250,000, and $150,000 respectively.
