A deeply distraught and depressed man in emotional turmoil is begging his female partner to return home after she reportedly deserted the family on Saturday last.

When the very emotional Denroy Cumberbatch of Wine Bush, Leonora, West Coast Demerara visited the Chronicle,Friday, he related that his common-law partner, with whom he has spent eighteen years and has fathered four children, deserted the family and has since not been seen.
Ormilda Debadeen is alleged to have left their home two Saturdays ago at around 08:00 hrs, ostensibly for her workplace some distance away, but did not return at around 17:00hrs as she customarily does. When she did not come home by 19:00hrs, he became alarmed and began calling her cell phone, only to realise she had left the phone in their home, which he said was very strange.
Cumberbatch said he frantically began calling up her friends and associates, but no one seemed able to give any information on the woman’s whereabouts.
Since she became missing, Cumberbatch said, he has been unable to work, since he now has to take care of their four children — Gibron, Aryon, Suhannah, and Daughta Cumberbatch.
Asked if they had had any problem before the woman disappeared, Cumberbatch indicated that he and his partner would normally have little quarrels like any other couple, but not anything that would warrant the woman leaving her home and her family behind.
Cumberbatch also expressed fears that Ormilda may have come to harm, and is appealing to anyone to call phone numbers 696-5411, or 681-6536 if they have any information on her whereabouts.
He said her relatives in the North West District are traumatised since the woman has not shown up in that area as well.
