A rastafarian man, identified as Calvin Osbourne, also known as Haywood, is feared drowned after he went into the Canje River for a routine bath on Thursday evening.
Osbourne, 26, of Savannah Park, New Amsterdam, was in Tucber Park, assisting his rastafarian folks to prepare for an upcoming cultural programme at the Nya Bingie headquarters located next to the Canje River.
According to reports, Osbourne is not known for his swimming ability, and may have fallen out of a canoe which the rastafarians usually stand in to take their bath in the river.
He leaves to mourn his aunt, Bernetta Burnham and parents who reside overseas. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
