CHARGES of break and enter and larceny were, yesterday, dismissed against two teenagers by Magistrate Fabayo Azore.
It happened when 18-year-old Jonathan Ramcharran, of Lot 127 DaSilva Street, Newtown and Ronald Sundar, 17, of Lot 62 Da Silva Street,made their court appearance.
They both pleaded not guilty to the offence that said, on Monday, July 1, they broke and entered the dwelling house of Clifton Hackett and stole 1 HP laptop, 1 Blackberry cellular phone, 1 Samsung cellular phone, five old navy t-shirts and $100,000 cash, making a total value of $345,000.
Sundar faced a separate charge that said, the same day, he broke into the house and stole 1HP laptop along with other booty worth $215,000.
However, attorney-at-law Mr. Paul Fung-a-Fat represented the duo and indicated that some of the articles were recovered and the relatives of Ramcharran and Sundar had offered $180,000 compensation to Hackett for his loss and he had agreed to the settlement.
