Albouystown neighbours charged with abusing, threatening each other

A MAN and a woman were both granted bail yesterday, on charges of using threatening language and unlawful assault.

Before Magistrate Fabayo Azore Uley Robertson, of Lot 17 James Street, Albouystown, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to having, on Saturday, June 29, unlawfully assaulted and threatened Samantha Lewis.
Meanwhile, Lewis pleaded not guilty to calling Robertson a name other than his own, assaulting him to cause actual bodily harm and damaging his $3,500 jersey.
Attorney-at-law Mr. Paul Fung-a-Fat, for Lewis, said the 41-year-old mother of six also lives at Lot 17 James Street, Albouystown and, that day, Robertson went into her home and cuffed her six times in her head and she clung to his jersey in a struggle for her protection.
Robertson was ordered to post a total of $30,000 bail and Lewis $35,000 until July 18.
