DALE Henry, 20, a market vendor of Lot 429 East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore, charged with aiding and abetting. The indictable charge said, between June 8 and 14, in East Ruimveldt, he comforted, assisted and maintained John McKenzie, who resides at Lot 299 Republic Park, East Bank Demerara.
Police Corporal Renetta Bentham, prosecuting, told the court that, the accused housed McKenzie, who was charged on June 12 with stealing a quantity of phone cards worth $3M and was apprehended while going to sell them at Parika, East Bank Essequibo.
The prosecutor had no objection to bail but requested that it be a substantial sum and the father of one was ordered to post $300,000 surety, until June 25.
