QUICK police work led to the arrest of two of three men who robbed a Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice family of cash and jewellery, among other articles on Wednesday night.

Police manning a roadblock at Good Hope, East Coast Demerara, arrested two men who were in the getaway car, PRR 2880, and recovered a black haversack containing $38,000 and several phone cards as well as a toy gun.
About 11:20 hrs on Wednesday, Rosaline Ayube, 41, and Sultan Ayube, 43, both of Plantation Hope, Bath Settlement, were attacked and robbed of $253,000, a quantity of gold jewellery valued $300,000, cell phone cards valued at $690,000 and a Blackberry cell phone valued $50,000 by three men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
Investigations revealed that the victims were in their home when the men entered through an open door, held them up, relieved them of the articles and escaped in a motorcar with licence plate, PRR 2880.
Investigations are in progress.
