MAHENDRA Nandkumar (no address given) appeared before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell, yesterday, and pleaded not guilty to the charges of using abusive and threatening language. Particulars of one offence said, on Thursday, June 6, at Lot 33 Covent Garden, East Bank Demerara, he abused and threatened his wife, Radica Doobay.
The other charge said, the same day and place, he also made use of abusive language to Maria Persaud, a friend of his wife.
Attorney-at-law Mr. Paul Fung-a-Fat, representing the defendant, requested that he be put on a bond because the virtual complainants will not offer any evidence against hm.
The magistrate dismissed the cases and bonded Nandkumar for one year.
