SLAIN cop’s parents feel colleagues hold the key to bringing the right killer to justice.
The father of murdered Police Corporal Romain Cleto is convinced that his late son’s colleagues, who were with him the night he was killed, hold the key to the real identity of the killer(s).
David Kendall voiced the opinion hours after Shaka Chase, the man who police had charged with Cleto’s murder, was set free by a magistrate following the withdrawal of the charge by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
I totally agree with the father of the deceased cop.
Many police in Guyana are into nefarious activities and when killed their colleagues want to make a quick arrest to show the public they are on top of their job.
Why would police give a clown like Freddie Kissoon to rant and rave and glow in the dark?
Freddie the clown Kissoon went on to say this “The first media practitioners to be on the scene of the murder of policeman Romain Cleto were Dale Andrews and me. We arrived shortly after the shooting. A crowd surrounded us and began to talk to us. They pointed us to where the spent shells were on the ground. Eyewitnesses saw the tragedy and were openly talking about a clear-complexioned young man whom they said shot up the police vehicle.
There was a report from a news media where one of these Freddie Kissoon’s, so called eyewitness, said something to the effect “that skinny Indian can shoot”.
If Shaka Chase as police reported showed up at the police station on his own and police swabbed his hands for and found gun powder residue then why police let him go?
Police later went and arrested Shaka Chase who then, it is alleged, confessed to police.
Fair is fair and the police who investigated this murder should be all fired and be charged for the murder of their colleague.
Will these police investigators be allowed to continue to investigate other crimes?
I believe those police officers that were with the slain cop have answers to this crime but are lying low for now.
Video cameras should be installed at all police stations. Any and all interrogations may be done on cameras so there will be no more cries of police torturing innocent citizens to confess to crimes they did not do.
This is Guyana we are talking about where in cases such as this, those in opposition will see this as an Indian led government going after minority blacks.
Things like this can lead to bigger and worse than what was played out against innocent Indians on Agricola Public Road.
