AN irate man accused of removing his neighbour’s zinc sheet fence was hauled before Cove & John Magistrate Zamilla Alli on May 8, charged with damage to property.

Particulars of the matter stated that Davin Seetall unlawfully and maliciously damaged six zinc sheets, valued at $40,000, movable private property of Sohan Narine, on Sunday, May 5th at Lusignan, ECD.

Seetall was also accused of using threatening language to Narine, but he pleaded not guilty to the two charges.

However, the virtual complainant, who was present in court, informed that the defendant’s family had since come forward and replaced the zinc sheets.

Seetall then apologised to his neighbour, and the matter was dismissed.
