Lara’s school record shattered

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad  (CMC) –  A longstanding record set by Brian Lara for the highest individual score in Trinidad and Tobago’s Secondary School Cricket League (SSCL) has been broken. Former National Under-13 captain Kirstan Kallicharan missed his double century by six runs but surpassed the record set by the former West Indies cricketer during his time in the league.
Kallicharan scored 194 containing 26 fours and six sixes for Vishnu Boys Hindu College in their 197-run win over Carapichaima East in the SSCL.
Lara’s record was 168.
