POLICE yesterday arrested a man after they unearthed an unlicensed handgun and ammunition in Region 1 (Barima/Waini).

At about 01:00 hr on April 25, 2013, the police conducted a search on a man at Mazawini, North West District (NWD), and found an unlicensed 9mm Glock pistol with 10 rounds in his possession.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident on Wednesday at Issano, a Brazilian national was detained when police on a mobile patrol found an unlicensed gun and ammunition.
Police reported that at about 11:15 hrs on April 24, 2013, ranks of a roving police patrol at Nine Miles, Issano, stopped and searched a Brazilian national in whose possession was found an unlicensed .38 revolver with 14 matching rounds.
