Crime Chief Seelall Persaud yesterday said that sleuths are still to conclude ballistic analysis on the two 9mm spent shell casings recovered at the scene of the Owen Street, Kitty, drive-by shooting which left minibus driver Rabindra Samaroo nursing a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police added that so far, they were unable to effect an arrest but the investigation is ongoing.
Early last Sunday morning the route 40 minibus driver had just returned home when he was shot to the abdomen by someone firing from a passing car.
At the time, he was chatting with some friends at the street corner near his house.
Samaroo is hospitalized at present.
His relatives told the Guyana Chronicle that Samaroo, who is well-known, was recently in a fight with another man, who they believe orchestrated the shooting.
