LEADING Prosecutor Miss Renita Singh, in association with Miss Rhondel Weever, will this morning deliver her opening address to the jury in the Ramchand Persaud murder trial before Justice Navindra Singh.

The prosecution is expected to call six witnesses in its effort to prove that Ramchand Persaud, called ‘Boyo’ or ‘Hunter’, murdered Victor Anthony, called ‘Tony’, between April 12 and 13, 2009 in the county of Demerara.
Attorney-at-Law Miss Latchmie Rahamat is representing the defence.
