ALBERTO Khan (no address given) appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman yesterday, on charges of using abusive and threatening language. He pleaded guilty to the offences, admitting that, on March 17, he abused Kowsha Ramdin and abused and threatened Subrina Sebra.
Police Corporal Renetta Bentham, prosecuting, informed the Court that the defendant and virtual complainants are friends, but on that day, they were involved in an argument and he issued a threat to kill Sebra and verbally abused both women.
The defendant told the Court he was sorry for what he did and begged for mercy.
He was fined $15,000 on all the convictions, with the alternative of six months imprisonment, and placed on a bond to keep the peace for one year.
