RON Sam, of Lot 48 Joseph Pollydore Street, Lodge, Georgetown has been charged with damaging a garment belonging to the mother of his children. He pleaded not guilty to the damage to property offence when he appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman yesterday.
Particulars of the charge said, on February 17, he unlawfully and maliciously damaged one ladies’ top, valued $2,000, property of Alexis Blair.
The defendant told the court he and the virtual complainant had an argument over money and he left their home but, when he returned, police contacted him and asked him to go to the station.
He maintained, though that he never destroyed the piece of clothing and it is the woman, herself, who did it.
However, Sam was put on $10,000 bail and bonded to keep the peace until the case is concluded.
Meantime, an arrest warrant was issued for Blair, who also faces a charge.
