Albouystown barber charged with wounding

JAMES Street, Albouystown, Georgetown barber Lenny Fraser pleaded not guilty, on Wednesday, to a charge of unlawful and malicious wounding before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.

Particulars of the offence said, on February 1, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Abdul Safi Khan in James Street.
Police Sergeant Kerry Bostwick, prosecuting, said the virtual complainant (VC) is a carpenter and, that day, he was working on a building when he and the defendant had a confrontation and the latter became annoyed and dealt him a lash on his right side face with a hammer.
Fraser was put on $30,000 bail until March 8.
