COLIN Cooper (no address given) yesterday appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman on charges of assault and threatening language.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges, which stated that on February 9, he unlawfully assaulted Terrence Bastiani to cause him actual bodily harm. On the said day also, he made use of threatening language to Venessa Bastiani.
Venessa told the court that the defendant threatened to kill her and her son Terrence.
The prosecution had no objection to bail and the defendant was placed on $60,000 bail on both charges. The matters will be called again on March 7.
