BANKS DIH Limited hosted its Annual Senior Citizens Luncheon on Sunday last, when over 600 guests were entertained in the four-hour programme at Thirst Park.
The event attracted pensioners of the company as well as senior citizens from homes and social organisations around Georgetown.
Mr. Clifford Reis, Banks DIH Chairman and Managing Director, in his remarks at the event, highlighted the company’s performance during 2012 and its plans for this year.
He also expressed gratitude to the pensioners for their valuable contributions to the company over the years.
“We salute you for your hard work and dedication,” Mr. Reis told the former employees to loud applause.
The Chairman reported that Banks DIH Limited had a good year in 2012 and he said the company could not have achieved this success without the support of employees, consumers and other stakeholders.
The luncheon was attended by residents and members of Uncle Eddie’s Home; Holy Family; Salvation Army Hostels; Archer’s Home;the David Rose Centre; the Guyana Red Cross Society; the Gentle Women’s Home;the Guyana Institute for the Blind; the St. Thomas More Home; the St. Vincent de Paul Women’s Home; New Nazareth Home; the Guyana Association for the Visually Impaired; and Chase’s Indigent Home, among other organisations.
