WENDELL Austin, on a robbery with aggravation charge before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell yesterday, was granted $85,000 bail.

He pleaded not guilty to the offence, which said, on January 24, being together with others, he robbed Marco Antonio Fernandez of one cell phone valued $28,000 and $4,000 cash.
Police Sergeant Alexis David Hosanna, prosecuting, had made an objection to bail on the grounds of prevalence and seriousness of the offence but it was overruled.
She said, that day, the defendant was in company of others when they pulled the virtual complainant into an alleyway and robbed him.
The prosecutor said the robbers were seen by a police officer but the others escaped and only Austin was arrested.
The case will be called, again, on February 27.
