Cousin remanded on break and enter charge

DELROY Brown, 41, of Lot 3 Joseph Pollydore and Chapel Street, Lodge, Georgetown, appeared in Court yesterday, charged with break and enter and larceny.

Before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, he pleaded not guilty to the charge, which said, last November 17, he broke and entered the dwelling house of Colin Arthur and stole one gold ring, valued $420,000 and US$400, equivalent to G$80,000, making it a total loss of G$500,000.
Police Corporal Kerry Bostwick, prosecuting, objected to bail based on the seriousness of the offence.
The prosecutor said the defendant is the cousin of the virtual complainant and the former was positively identified when he exited the house through a window.
Brown was remanded to prison until February 22.
