The game was considered as one of revenge for Soesdyke Primary who went down to Grove Primary 1 – 0 during the preliminary stages of the competition which turned out to be their only lost in the entire tournament.
After an entertaining regulation time that ended scoreless, the two sides went down to penalty where only Soesdyke Primary’s captain Kevin Marshall was able to pierce the net since everyone else on either side of the field were unlucky; having their shots saved, hitting or going over the bar.
The win for Soesdyke Primary means their school will be given a set of computers apart from trophies and medals to their players.
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament (which is not yet known) will receive a lap-top while eight players will be given bicycles.
Meanwhile, West Ruimveldt finished in third place, following their 1 -0 penalty shootout win over BV Primary. Fifth place went to Company Road Primary after they defeated Uitvlugt Primary 1 – 0 yesterday.
