Disagreement over music set costs $90,000

JASON Heyligar, convicted of assault and using threatening language, was fined a total of $90,000 by Magistrate Judy Latchman on Tuesday.

He pleaded guilty to both offences, admitting that, on January 13, in Albouystown, Georgetown, he threatened Dexton Harper and assaulted him to cause actual bodily harm.
Heyligar and Harper had a disagreement because  the latter owed the defendant $2,000 for rental of a music system used at a sporting event at the home of the former.
Heyligar has to pay $70,000 with the alternative of 18 months imprisonment for the assault and $20,000 or spend 20 days in jail for the threatening language charge.
