A DELEGATION from Guyana comprising Prime Minister Samuel Hinds, Dr. Mahender Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of the Guyana Energy Agency and Mr. Roopchand Bissessar, Protocol Officer, is attending the World Future Energy Summit, International Renewable Energy Agency meetings and the inaugural meeting of energy Ministers from South American and Arab countries in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

According to the Government Information Agency (GINA), the meetings slated from January 13 to 18 will seek to explore the possibilities for growth and development in the energy sectors of the two regions, with a special focus on renewable energy.
