Prime Minister lauds Harry Ramsaroop for sustaining senior citizens : – joins Dharm Shala residents in Christmas lunch

PRIME Minister Samuel Hinds, on Christmas Day, joined senior citizens at the Dharm Shala, a home of benevolence for all races, located on King Edward Street Albouystown, in their annual Christmas celebration. In what has become a traditional event, residents and other citizens from south Georgetown were treated to lunch and presents, courtesy of the proprietor of the home Harry S. Ramsaroop.
Making his 20th appearance at this event, Prime Minister Hinds interacted with residents and others present at the gathering, wishing them a merry Christmas.
According to the Government Information Agency (GINA), Mr Hinds commended Ramsaroop and his daughters for their continued investment in senior citizens’ sustenance and livelihood.
He said he was very pleased to have joined in the celebration and lauded the caretakers for their dedication and commitment to senior citizens.
Pamela Ramsaroop, daughter of the home’s founder, gave an overview of the developments at the institution over the last year. She stated that despite this year being the most challenging, the home continued to provide for its residents.
The residents conveyed their thanks and appreciation to director of the institution, Mr. Harry S. Ramsaroop, for his continued investment in their sustenance and overall livelihoods through the years, and this was done on their behalf by the Dharm Shala’s cook.
