Manner of dress is not the cause of rape

MOEEN-UL-HACK continues to make broad, unwanted claims in trying to wiggle out of what he said.

If you are getting your news and information from ‘Kaieteur News’ then you, Mr. Moeen-ul-Hack, are listening to filth and it seems as though you are a fan of gossip, tabloid trash.
You are preaching to the wrong choir in the wrong country. Women do not invite rape no matter how they dress.
Go examine the brains of rapists to find out why is it they have to rape. In my opinion, rapists love overpowering a woman regardless of how she dresses.
Women in Guyana and all over the world must have the right to wear what they deem appropriate and men like you must stop talking.
Go even further and don’t look. You had to be looking at these women on the streets and their commercials in order to make such a wild statement.
If what women wear, especially in the Georgetown area, would cause them to be raped, then why do we not read in your ‘KN’ news about massive rapes in the streets of Georgetown?
If you personally, or anyone for that matter,do not like what women wear then don’t look and keep quiet instead of using your position in society to harp filth.
I gave you one example in my letter on Wednesday and asked if what those young innocent school girls wore caused them to be raped and murdered by junkies.
If you want to join me and many others to talk about things that are constructive, then let’s go after junkies with a vengeance; but I bet you do not see anything wrong with them as you see it with women.
What about those women whose doors were kicked down by kick-down-the-door bandits and brutally raped while being robbed?
Was it their dress code that caused rape?
Personally, I think you must stop while you are ahead and never pen such filth in your letter and in your flimsy response as well.
