THE National Assembly on Monday voted that taxpayers’ money should stop going into the Marriott Hotel project unless first approved by the National Assembly.
Only fools will have you believe this project or any other major project will be approved by the national assembly once it’s the PPP/C tabling these projects.
The government is correct to charge that Ramjattan is seeking to block the project to satisfy selfish political interests, given that the owner of the Pegasus Hotel is Robert Badal, a supporter of the AFC.
If Ramjattan wants transparency he must first announce to the John Public how much money was paid to U.S. political so-called guru Dick Morris who told AFC that they would have won the 2006 election.
If Ramjattan really wants transparency, he must announce yet again to John Public how much money Pegasus new owner Badal pumped into his election campaign in 2011.
If Ramjattan is real about transparency, he must have the nerves to stand tall and announce to John Public what percentage he agreed to, to represent the boy who was burnt at a police station.
I say let them all if they really want transparency start telling John Public how much money they raised and wherefrom for the election campaign.
It seems as though Ramjattan and his cohorts do not know the meaning of transparency but could only blab about it.
