ROHAN Simon, 18, of Vevay, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara, was killed in a road accident yesterday morning.

Police said he fell out of the pick-up in which he was travelling as it negotiated a turn at Airy Hall, Mahaicony, about 00:15 hr.
Another occupant of the vehicle, Indar Singh, 31, of De Hoop, Mahaica, suffered injuries, as well, but was treated at  Mahaicony Cottage Hospital, where Simon was pronounced dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, Police Traffic Department reported, yesterday, that, so far this year, 105 persons died as a result of 97 road accidents. For the corresponding period last year, the number of fatalities was 115 from 102 accidents.
