I HAD always wanted to know how could someone get millions of dollars in duty free concessions without even showing up in Guyana. There were no interviews and he did not even come here and clear the vehicles. The vehicles were cleared on his behalf and sold to various people.

One of the vehicles involved is a Lexus SUV 570. Last week the home and business premises of the individual involved, was visited by a few investigators of GRA, but to date no action has so far been taken. But it has been verified that the former owner is no longer in possession of these high-end vehicles. I am inclined to think that someone or group of persons at GRA is trying to hide this matter from becoming public.
