HEAD of the Presidential Secretariat and Cabinet Secretary, Dr. Roger Luncheon, was yesterday admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) after suffering a fall at his home. Even though his injury was not life threatening, Dr. Luncheon yesterday remained warded in the Intensive Care Unit of the GPHC, where he was said to be resting comfortably and his condition had stabilized.
A trusted and reliable source yesterday confirmed that, even though the Cabinet Secretary might have been experiencing a bit of pain, in the region of the back, his condition was definitely not critical, nor is it considered an emergency.
Office of the President, in a brief official statement, confirmed that Dr. Luncheon was admitted to the GPHC around 11:00 hrs yesterday.
“Dr. Luncheon’s condition is not serious and he has been kept for observation and to conduct a number of tests,” OP stated.
According to the statement, Dr. Luncheon had a mishap at his home on Friday last, but still went to work that day, as well as the following day (Saturday).
However, he developed pains yesterday and was rushed to the hospital.
OP said he is expected to be discharged today.
