KINGSTON, Jamaica (CMC) – Manchester are the champions of Twenty20 cricket in Jamaica after defeating St Catherine Cricket Club by 51 runs in the final at Up Park Camp on Sunday.
Manchester lost three wickets with only five runs on the board but recovered to post 147 for nine before bowling out St. Catherine for 96 off 13.4 overs.
The seven runs an over scoring rate was too much for St. Catherine, who were deprived of a three-peat of titles.
They had beaten Manchester in last year’s semi-finals and in the final in the inaugural tournament the year before.
West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell’s haul of three for 11 was among the highlights of the final.
