A ROSIGNOL resident is nursing stab wounds about her body at the New Amsterdam Hospital while her alleged rival is in police custody, following an incident at Number Four Village, West Coast Berbice, on Sunday. It is reported that 47-year-old Marlyn Conway had spent the night at the home of pensioner Scott Joseph and, about 05:15 hrs, the latter was in the process of starting his motor car when he heard Conway scream.
Looking in her direction, at the front of his yard, he saw her running towards him and a shadow going to the home of his next door neighbour, with whom he allegedly had a relationship.
The injured woman was rushed to Fort Wellington Hospital, where she was examined by a medical practitioner, who referred her to New Amsterdam Hospital, where she remains a patient while police investigations continue. (Jeune Bailey Vankeric)
